MOSAIC² objective is to elucidate cancer heterogeneity across various types of cancers, and to contribute to the advanced understanding of the intricate interplay between tumor and host environment by an augmented imaging approach.

MOSAIC² aims to address clinical challenges (poor prognostic cancers, rare targetable genetic alterations, and unpredictable response to therapies) and new technological challenges including limited access to multiscale and multicentric curated data, lack of integrative multiscale imaging analysis, and the appropriateness of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms for multimodal imaging.

MOSAIC² is a transdisciplinary project involving a collaborative network of outstanding clinical imaging teams from 3 AP-HP centers [Nord (Bichat/Beaujon), Est (Henri Mondor), and Sud (Paul Brousse/Kremlin-Bicêtre)], experienced academic research teams, industrial partners dedicated to imaging (functional imaging, spatial biology and physics), computer vision teams (data engineering and machine learning) with complementary expertise in liver, pancreatic and lung cancers. These imaging and AI teams benefit from support of the clinical data warehouse and imaging data management specialist (Limics, DSN & EDS AP-HP), and of the clinical trial unit (URC PNSO).

Limics is involved in WP1 aiming to build a FAIR imaging multiscale database based on Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable imaging resources into a repository for analysis through a sustainable and secure web workspace and will contribute to this WP through the support to the FAIRification of the IMALIVE cohort dedicated to primary cancer of the liver in the context of the European Cancer Image Platform, EUCAIM (https://cancerimage.eu/)
